Dustic Mag 004, April 2026
April 004
Featured this month, ambient and chill
Listened while studying, working, sleeping, meditating or whatever humans do, ambient music is often cozy layers of ethereal virtual instruments and drones, with soundscape samples. Chill music sometimes adds up some beats. Prominent artists found on Dustic are zakè, Midori Hirano, Trent Reznor, Paradeigma, Panabrite, or mixes like Cafe del Mar and Chill Out Session 91.
Technical improvements
FunkWhale's network is now connected to Dustic. You can connect the instance you want through the settings, and search results will be populated with public music published on it. By default, open.audio is on.
Sharing your profile across devices is easier with a copy-paste utility, and a convenient way to sync your profile with WebDav. Beware that by doing so, your password is stored on your device, and, although it's encrypted, the decryption key is stored nearby: better use a token with limited access than a full access password to all your precious files. Of course, Dustic knows nothing at all about what you do with the app. We don't know what you listen to, we don't know what you like or save, and importantly, we don't know your passwords.
